LEATHER ZOO - Steam Driven Punk!

Catchy melodies in a classic punk suit are what they are all about. Together with philosophical lyrics that have a whole load of attitude their music has all ingredients to be irresistible and make each song a potential ear-bug.

Formed in may 2004 in sheffield, south yorkshire, england uk. within a single year the band had recorded at 2 fly studios a “live” 8 track cd which they released as a debut demo recording.

This first demo went on to see the band gain radio airplay time on the bbc radio, trax fm and numerous other independent and web/internet based broadcasting stations.

The band has completed two successful live tours in europe and have gained a high level of acclaim being focused very much on outdoor festivals. a highlight being in berlin, germany, where the band performed a headline spot to more than five thousand people in the volkspark football stadium. this show was broadcast live on air by motor fm in berlin and following this, the track “FAIRY PUNK PRINCESS”, went on to gain the number one spot on germany based internet download sites. this track has also been featured on uk x-rated punk radio show “punky radio”, shrugs fm, trax fm doncaster and even as far away as basile radio based in italy.

The latest addition to the line up includes professional percussionist and drummer BJ (sponsored by sonor, sabian, remo and pro-mark) who spent five years touring the world as percussionist with the famous “cirque du soleil”. This additional expertise was very timely as they then headed in to the recording studio to work on their debut label cd single and cd ep…. expected for release in early 2008.
